Constitutive promoter, XutR + Pxut, GFP

This is a Level 2 plasmid assembled through Golden Gate. XutR is expressed constitutively and when xylose is present XutR-xylose complex binds to Pxut and expresses GFP.

In our project we use the xylose inducible XutR-Pxut complex as a sensing module. It activates our entire genetic circuit and is directly linked to the antitoxin component of our kill switch. This composite part was made to help us test the PXut-XutR system before we use it in our final construct to trigger biofilm overexpression..
